Environmental Harm

Environmental Harm

Why do we create such harmful waste;
Endless rubbish, all discarded in haste

What thought for environmental harm, to our once unspoiled land;
We litter and bury, seemingly like a catastrophe preplanned

While the earth is mined and we cut the tall trees;
All for man’s greedy and insatiable industrial disease

Where will it all end;
How do we defend

When will we see the wasteland we have created;
All societies futures, simply waiting to be cremated

Who could witness this and still abide to be so wasteful;
We bequeath this whole mess to the future, how utterly distasteful
