Bliss

Bliss

written by: Vidya Venkataramanan

A crescent moon hung in the sky
A smudgy sun
Tried to shine,
Blue grey skies
Above
Blue grey land
Below.
The reflection of the sun
In the clear waters,
smudgy too!
The strains of
A flute whispered by,
A haunting melody
Of a Sufi song.
Told a tale of
The soul
Longing for
Quiet,
Listening
To the sounds of silence,
That inner quietude,
In a raucous world.
If the peace outside is reflected in you,
Inside you,
The sun, the moon,
The earth and you
Are one!
That’s all!
