Too Much To Ask

Too Much To Ask

Asked me what I want
I will say I want the better angels in us all free to roam
Release yourself of this flesh that binds
Stumbled and bumbled are our feet
Where wings will lift us above the rubble
You the weakest
You the strong
Set forth with compassion
Bring joy to the surface like a newborn oasis spring
We need no more greed
Banish the despite’s lies
This is All I want
Too much to ask
Or too little to demand
