The Woman of The Wheat

The Woman of The Wheat

written by: John Grey

In the wheat fields,
I see yellow,
even when your ribbon blows blue.

The fields are inspiration
for the last minute costume changes
in my head.

The wind captures the spirit
of all it makes flutter
from the tassels to your hair,
the stems, the pedicels,
to whatever you happen to be wearing.

And down comes the sun.
With your heart in the mix,
light doesn’t skip a beat.
