Maybe

Maybe

Maybe we can see
For real, for real.
Maybe we can try
To heal, to heal.
Maybe we can end
The fronts, the fronts.
Then we can move forward.

Maybe we can turn
To look, to look.
Maybe we can earn
The trust, the trust.
Maybe open up our hearts
To feel, to feel.
Then we can move forward.

All we see is dark.
When the light is right outside.
Throw it into park.
Lose all that we want to hide.
There is no other course
Look at what’s within.
We can fix what is broken.

Maybe we can learn.
From what our past has been.
Maybe we can earn.
More trust that is given.
Maybe we should hear.
What our hearts can say.
Maybe it is time.
To toss out past away.

All we see is dark.
When the light is right outside.
Throw it into park.
Lose all that we want to hide.
There is no other course
Look at what’s within.
We can fix what is broken.
