On The Seventh Day

On The Seventh Day

On the seventh day he called it quits
He got so tired of hypocrites
He gave them all He had to give
Heaven and Earth—a place to live
a garden full of lovely things
where they could roam like queens and kings
instead, they took bait from sneaky’s mouth
and blew it all as winds go South
He got so tired He needed rest
calm and quiet from thankless pests
He sat alone on Sabbath day
with wish and hope, began to pray:
Let it be, Let it be
Peace on Earth Let us see.
