Unspoken

Unspoken

A crow’s quill
adorns her mate
with a word
she never writes.

Rain drop jewels
reflect the pine
on her feather
in his sight.

On glossy bough
they preen diamonds
from the coal
of their lives,

look into each
other’s onyx sky
and nuzzle light
in sunrise eyes.
