A Call for Identity

A Call for Identity

written by: Sushree Sangita

Sometimes relief lies beyond my grasp.
Then the mind calls for a stop.
Habits turn into addiction—
with a cigar and a lighter,
fingers guiding my lips to smoke.
They give an easy description of the scenario,
neither good nor bad,
only convenient thoughts—
“faulty goods and deeds.”
A boring phrase, indeed.
But life goes on,
along with all surviving creatures,
moving through a journey
of fog mixed with smoke.
No fire burns anymore beneath it all.
In the end, it matters less
whether you carry traits or disorders—
obsessive, narcissistic,
or borderline.
Who are you, really?
Only the creator knows.
