A Letter From The Grave

A Letter From The Grave

written by: Debbie Tunstall

Do not stand at my grave and weep
said the tormented spirit lost in sleep,

For they are forgotten, buried and burned
after just a few tears fell with their words,

they don’t want half-hearted here and there’s
by the ones that helped them bury their hurt,

they want a peaceful place to rest
with someone that listens
and a hand (at best,)

so do not stand at my grave and cry

Listen,

I don’t want suicide.
