An Appeal to Bad Government

I appeal to your conscience
like never before.
I do so with a corrosive voice of dissent.
Let its acidity corrode your moral sense
of right and wrong.
It would humble you and defuse your toxic ego.
It would guide your conduct
to exercise self-restraint and civility.
The goods you possess are lethal
to your oppressed subjects.
They could be refined as dividends of
good governance only if you would humbly
give in to my corrosive plea.
