An Award for Acting…

For different scenes and places
different characters I’ve been given.
And the moment I stepped in,
I started acting according to the script
written for me.
The characters I had to play
resided deep within me
such that never realised I, my originality.
Audience appreciated the performance
as they felt like I was not acting at all.
I was assured of
at least an award of appreciation at last.
And when I exited the play
through the door of the grave,
I realized that only those actors get awards,
who perform on the high stages.
I performed always among the audience only.
But at last
I lived my originality
after my exit only!…
