a baby starling

the cat won’t rabbit kick you

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description:  A cartoon with sketchy line art and splashy colour. White background, haiku just right of the upper centre in black Microsoft Himalaya Regular font. A dark brown baby bird sits in a nest on a flat, blue surface, mouth wide open as if calling for food. To its left and just behind the surface (presumably a table), the head of a green-eyed ginger cat peaks upward. However, it does not look at the bird, but at the nozzle of a spray bottle leaning in from the upper right corner, a single blue drip indicating it is ready to be used….
