Ballet

Did I lead when we danced?

Did I swing you and twirl you with grace, and with style
as we flew through the clouds,
ten miles high to remain among stars,
among angels?

Did I lead when we danced?

Did I dip you in waters so deep that we thought
we were starfish,
floating in an ocean of currents so strong
that the waves, that in oceans belong,
came to kiss your bare feet
and proclaim that you looked like an angel?

Did I lead when we danced?

Did I make with each grain of white sand
that the ocean had kissed
a sculpture,
so fine and so grand
of the beauty you possess and keep
for you are my bright angel?

I did lead you through each note of the
Ballet of life…

We’ve an instance of love, a moment in time,
and in the silence of one single note
we made history,
embracing the love
that can’t last,
but while we loved, while we danced.
it was more than eternity.

To dance is to dream…
