Beautiful Dreams

Big beautiful dreams
landing on butterfly wings.
Waiting to soar,
waiting for so much more.
Paused for some time,
now hard to find.
Through the muck and mire,
she began to tire.
Catching glimpses of color,
she remembered her mother.
She set to fly,
not answering why.
Drifting through the air,
how will her dreams fare?
I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. It is my passion, my dream, and my release. I love writing emotional, impactful poetry and short stories that cause a person to reflect and ponder.
