Becoming Light

Becoming Light

written by: Maria Teresa Pratico-Swanson

Seasons come, and seasons go
Lonesome traveler prays over the seeds, so they grow
Traveling crooked paths, over windy roads
The sacred journey of soul is all she knows
She has a clear destination, yet the route is still unknown
Following her heart, the road she walks all alone,
Dancing with the darkness of her shadows
Rolling with the waves that carry out into the depths away from the shallows
Befriending the loneliness of empty space
Led by a faith that soothes her heartache with grace
The journey for her is more difficult than most
Providing a clear vessel for spirit with her body, she hosts
Peace is felt by all who bask in the glow of her Divine presence
In service to all, transmuting pain for the masses
Honoring the glimmer of Light that shines truth through her beauty
Behold the homo luminous who reflects unconditional love
Her soul’s devotional duty
