Frankpledge
written by: Julian Mann
From the vale, I watch clouds of sheep
Form, and deform
On the hill.
In winter, I need a higher aspect.
The sound of the willow, now,
Comes into view.
The light in the hedge
Flashes calf skin.
Birds wash
In the gash in the stream, then shower, as from my
Wounded side.
