Bed-side Window

written by: Jona Manley

out the window of the room I’m left in
Family members come and go
and the weeks are long
in a room where I don’t belong
But the view out the window is beautiful
for me

with the thoughts my mind’s left me with
There’s leafy branches on the tree outside
And the leaves are green,
the most pretty tree I’ve ever seen
and the view out the window is perfect
for me
