Benign Darkness

written by: Robyn MacKinnon

non-life-threatening

darkness. The observer. You

into the shadows

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A dark, cavernous background, vines or roots visible on the left side. The scene is shot through with texture reminiscent of an old photo. All except for the central figure. Almost completely pure white, no details of clothing or other characteristics evident, except for short, dark hair. This, and the other shadowy parts of the body are more defined by the fact areas around them, completely part of the shadowy background. The haiku sits top and center, itself in stark white Segoe Script Bold font.
