Bountiful Gifts

The shimmering pools are summoned to dance
The tiny droplets ripple in delight
For briefest moment incandescent light
Explodes in hue as bow wraps the expanse
The rivers and brooks sing and gaily prance
Rejoicing as new children join the flight
In valley turning browns to greens so bright
Wet life unearths its head to take its chance

Rich bower laden down with sweetest fruits
Invites the vintner out to test the crop
Vine strengthened from the tap-root grows apace
Now sending out its tender questing shoots
Then growing high up over fence’s top
Long branches, drunk on raindrops, diffuse grace
