down from Yokun Ridge
coiled foxes kept
a silent fire watch
while the earth turned
toward a full moon
we all stood to see

down from Yokun Ridge
I unearthed
a wool-wrapped
kintsugi heart
that unfurled like
no fiddlehead ever would

down from Yokin Ridge
we wove a crystalline circle
-endless & living-
when that morning raven
called again,
“Remember! Remember.”
