Color of The Heart

It’s not the color of the skin that matters
but the color of the heart
it’s not where you have come from
but where you set to start.

It’s not the things you worship
or the stuff you flaunt around
but the words you speak to others
that make you wear a crown.

It’s the color of the heart
that make you who you are
shades of what you do or say
can heal or they can scar.

It’s not the color of the skin that matters
but the color of the heart
ignorance comes in all colors
but love sets you far apart.
