Colouring of Self

Colouring of Self

written by: Dr. Alok Kumar Ray

Spirited and engrossed by seasonal hues myriad
I gossip with towering own self not being tired
In this April when all from top to bottom talk about colours
How their unadulterated veracity to interfere with every soul porous
For a beginning untamed by unshakable skills to step forward
As the muse of bees resounds like a clarion call from the backyard

The Sun’s shinning sprays colours of white seem vibrant
In my mind’s canvas paints rising courage sans any rant
Rejoicing with nature and getting applause from within
Whistling away pages of bottlenecks from chapters that intertwine
Dotting the mishaps as a sign of a standstill perhaps
Overcoming myself slowly from deep sombre flip-flops

Applying hues of hope immense in eyes tearful
Self-confidence evolves around here and there as a tool
That de-escalates agonies as if with melodies of the ouds
And drives away from life’s sky constantly mounted dark clouds
The light post is not far away that tingles in colours superior
Soon we’ll emerge as the champion nurturing traits of a warrior, a lone survivor
