Crystal

written by: Robyn MacKinnon

I charged my crystal

How can I address your hearts?

of light and longing…

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: An image of dark shadows and bright highlights. The words of the haiku arch over a stormy crystal ball in white “Bickham Script Pro 3 Bold” font, outlined in black and emitting a faint golden sparkle. The crystal crackles with white lightning branching off from its edges. The background seems to be made of shadow and soot debris on a pale surface. Between the crystal ball and the background hovers a crowd of four hearts. A heart of turquoise and gold flame sits on the left, a white-blue burst of light creating an aura. Above that, a little to the right, a turquoise, heart shaped balloon. Topmost and little right of center, a pale green lace-enwrapped golden jewel pendant. Finally, below and to the right of this, a heart-shaped craft made of pale pink paper strands on a stick.
