Effulgent

@neeneebucket

I look upon them
envy, stomach a pit.

Biting on bottom, envisaging
just so, before letting go.

To taste
the poison fruit
of my flame

Upon the page
Of which I am not.

Saddened days
bespot,
rotted, from my thoughts.

If only,
I imagine, too,

He leapt from page
to meet me fraught.

Aware the start
too, the end

But, believed along
with gleeful thought,
oh so worth the shot.
