Even if it Hurts

Even if it Hurts

written by: Venz Tarusan

You packed your bags like silence speaks,
No need for words, no need for weeks.
I watched you go without a fight,
Still hoping you’d turn back that night.

Your eyes said more than your lips could do,
A love once full is now torn in two.
But I won’t beg, won’t make you stay—
You leave not ‘cause you want, but may.

You need the air, the space, the time,
To find your truth outside of mine.
And if it heals you, sets you free,
Then leave, even if it’s killing me.

I’ll fold the pain in quiet grace,
Still saving room, still saving place.
And if the world brings you back home,
You’ll find I waited all alone.

So go, my love, chase what is true—
Not ’cause you want to…
But ’cause you have to.
