When will it stop—
This heart that longs to break free?
How long must I hope
When pain keeps finding me?
I want to fight for what I feel,
But my mind already knows
What’s right, what helps me heal.
How can I fight?
How do I fight?
For the love we once began
If my mind already knows it’s a losing game—
That there’s no more hope?
Still keep thinking
Morning, night, even in dreams,
As if my heart is still holding on.
