Fish

Fish

written by: JOHN BAVERSTOCK

The predators are out again,
As they start scanning the streets,
Looking for easy Fish,
Hoping they will try their sweets,
At first, they offer you them for free,
Soon they become your mate,
Now they are supplying at will,
You the fish swallowing the bait,
The predators have you on their hook,
Now longing for these sweets’ night and day,
The rules though have suddenly changed,
As these sweets, you now have to pay,
Girls forced to work the streets,
Guys made to steal,
Any way you can get hold of cash,
Just to seal your next deal,
Spice leads to Heroin… and then eventually to Crack,
Now in the predator’s net,
And it’s a fish they won’t throw back….
