For The Sake of Peace

For The Sake of Peace

written by: Jenny Frye

For the sake of peace, my tongue I have held,
As blood upon my lips, another voice withheld.
In the shadows, I stand silent and still,
Untold secrets lie in wait, what a bitter pill.
Forced to be silent, I bear the weight,
A prisoner of silence, the truth cannot wait.
In this world of darkness, where justice is blind,
How much longer will it be, until the truth I find?
