Green Aura

Green Aura

written by: Craig R Kirchner

She comes from the bath in her white robe,
covering most of her taupe tan beauty,
explaining that she needed to cleanse her aura.

Sounding sarcastic, but not meaning to, I add,
“and the Bloody Mary, Katy dumped on your head.”

Empathy taps me on the shoulder,
and tells me what a bad comment that was.

“That too, but my aura was darkening,
going from red to dark brown”
as she flashes Brazilian waxed legs
that she knows all men follow.

Intuition mentions how that goes nicely with her tan.

“Katy tells everyone that you are sleeping with me.”

Empathy whispers,
another bad idea, you should just
learn to be quiet from time to time.

Faith chimes in that,
She may seem like a goddess and a libertine,
but she’s also very spiritual and connected.
You should take your time with this conversation.

“What color is my aura?”

She reties her robe,
throws herself on the beige sofa,
and asks me to make her a drink.

“Your aura is green,
probably because you’re horny at the moment,
but it is always framed in white,
which says that you are wise,
and that your empathy, intuition, and faith,
the bubbles, so to speak, around your physical,
are well linked, and in working order.”

Intuition, immediately follows that he agrees,
and that –
all our Bubbles are saying we like Katy’s tune,
like the newly popped tonic,
harmonizing over the gin, ice, and lime.
