Green Resurrection

Green Resurrection

written by: Giovanni Fruncillo

The blue rippling lake,
the wind tossing the cream
colored leaves.
Winter has had its time,
shouting back across
the sky.

The bright cloudless sky,
bluer than the bluest sea,
like Narcissus finding his
reflection in the cold
rippling lake.

Stark and stripped,
like bony splinters.
The trees at winter’s end,
ruminate about their
green resurrection.
