Hang On

Hang On

So this is your territory
I’m driving through?
But you’re never there
Never ever…how come?
You don’t have time to hang around
always on the go…

Yet I made you smile
I did make you smile
And stop and take a breath
And you made me smile
And blush…
But then
Unintentionally
You made me cry
but I won’t tell you about that
I won’t
I should have known
The warring
was obvious from the very start
it was marked in golden letters

Anyway
The park and the autumn
I’m waiting there…
You’re always on the go
Hang on
Come and sit on the bench next to me
Take my hand
See the world the way I do
Feel it
Let the picture be taken
And then kept among other photographs
In that heart shaped box of mine
