I Am A Stone

I Am A Stone

I am a stone upon a lake beach
Exposed to the circular elements
Braised by the solar wind
Tumbled and tossed to the shore by time
No patience necessary
Just persistence for existence
Surrounded by my fellows
All experiencing the same days
The same nights
With a diverse differentiation
But weathering and erosion
Makes us one
Under a cloud-patched skyline
