I’m Not Sad You’re Leaving

I’m Not Sad You’re Leaving

written by: Jayne Morgan

I won’t miss you very much
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
We’ll still be keeping in touch.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
It won’t feel strange when you’re gone
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
It’s been your dream for so long.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
No tears will spill down my face
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
You’ll be living in a nice place.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
I won’t wish that you could stay
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
You’re only two hours away.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
Oh how can I be
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
You’re studying for a degree.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
I shan’t feel any strife
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
It’ll give you the best start in life.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
I won’t be crying out loud
Why should I be sad you’re leaving
You make me feel so proud.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
But I just want to say
I won’t be sad you’re leaving
But please, text me every day.

I’m not sad you’re leaving
You’ve packed up all your kit
No. I’m not sad you’re leaving
Well, maybe, just a little bit.
