Into The Unknown

Into The Unknown

written by: Katarzyna Koziorowska

The lack of words leads astray.
Tenderness of touch determines
the further course of the body.

I do not fit into your dream,
I will ask for a way back.
Thoughts, woven from mismatched desires,
flutter at your shoulders.
The purity of illusions ensures
a joyful ending to the autobiography.

Is a bit of conscience enough
to open the window,
to break down the door?
Maybe I have become a signpost,
intentions of which no one understands?

Maybe I am a void in which
an uninvited thought has hung?
I peel the skin of the orange
of the sun – desires are unpleasant,
no one needs them.

I get at the pulp, I drink from your lips.
Was it a dream or reality
that did the greatest harm to the world?
Maybe the road slipped out
from under your feet, so that you could feel
future on your own skin?

Or maybe… maybe you are who
you always wanted to be?
I am a few question marks. I resemble
a body that has gone
into the unknown.
