…child, my sister,
On this bleak day,
We will go together,
Holding hands,
to the end of the world;
there is a rug of
knotgrass
over the way
bridges are burned there
above the banks of our river,
and the smell of heaven,
and a dazzling glow,
what beckons us…
Look, my love:
in the white shroud of night
the yellow sun is setting,
your hand in mine,
and into the open sky
a lonely bird flies up…
and I say to you:
this colorful world
to which we’re going to escape
is ours,
so let’s get ready for the long journey
where we will finally be together.
let’s take it with us
a handful of apple petals,
the edge of the Tripoli sun
and a pinch of autumn wormwood,
and here are these salty tears of rain
above the white world
and the shimmer of blood
in the wheel of samsara…
…we will sprout in the spring,
when it rains, right?..

…дитя, сестро моя,
цієї сльотавої днини
ми помандруємо з тобою,
тримаючись за руки,
на край світу;
там споришевий килим
понад шляхом,
там спалені мости
над берегами нашої ріки,
і запах неба,
і сліпуче сяйво,
те, що манить нас…
дивись, кохана:
в білий саван ночі
заходить жовте сонце,
твоя рука в моїй руці,
а в розчахнуте небо
злітає самотній птах…
і я кажу тобі:
цей барвистий світ,
до якого втечемо,
належить нам,
тож збирайся в далеку дорогу,
де нарешті ми будемо разом…
візьмемо з собою
пригірщ яблуневих пелюсток,
окраєць трипільського сонця
і жмутик осіннього полину,
а ще ось ці солоні сльози дощу
над білим світом,
і мерехтіння крові
в колесі сансари…
…ми зійдемо напровесні,
коли проллється дощ, правда?..
