Just Passing Time

Just Passing Time

written by: James Walmsley

The garden’s looking good today,
with the sun shining it really should.
A gardener I am not I have to say
It’s the sitting in it I really love.

Just wondering what the thing is
it always seems to catch my eye,
the Bees love it they’r in a tiz
I’m quite fond of it to I can’t deny.

Going to read a chapter of my book,
It’s a classic with a gardening theme.
Mrs Chatterley the liberties you took,
and Mellors really was a dream.

Reading done the Captain’s in the glass,
The sun is hovering in the Western sky.
Evening dew has settled on the grass,
the blackbird sings his twilight goodbye.

Now just a walk around the park,
the park that is yours and mine,
yes the park is our beating heart,
a place for Just Passing Time.
