Lessons of the Heart

Lessons of the Heart

written by: Michael Ridinger

In the twilight of choices,
where shadows dance with doubt,
we stumble upon the wrong faces,
their smiles like fleeting lights.

Hearts bruised by missteps,
aching from the weight of regret,
we build walls from the rubble,
fortresses of mistrust,
guarding against the light.

When the true soul arrives,
bearing the warmth of dawn,
we turn away,
eyes clouded by past storms,
shadows shielding the light.

Karma whispers softly,
in the language of lessons learned,
that every wrong turn
is a step towards the right.

Trust, once shattered,
can be mended with time,
for the heart knows
the path to its destined rhyme.
