Life Beneath

Life Beneath

if only eyes could see;
beneath this very soil
silence breathes,
beneath this very soil
roots strive to grow

if only eyes could see;
life beneath that yearns to live
despite man’s unholy schemes.
plants do feel pain.
plants too have rights.
