Lights Aglow

Lights Aglow

written by: Tamara Yancosky

Sirens screaming, lights aglow,
Brains and brawn, humble souls.
Level-headed and needfully sane,
They face the dragon’s eminent flame.

Sirens blaring, lights aglow,
Brains and brawn, modesty flows.
Beneath quick steps, the surface quakes,
Solid hearts bear heavy weights.

Sirens bleating, lights aglow,
Brains and brawn, with heads held low.
Firefighters brave dragons ‘till death,
Holding back beasts’ smothering breath.

Sirens staring, lights aglow,
Brains and brawn, my respect grows.
Rushing into danger as others run away,
They fight brazen monsters every day.
