Little Fingers

It’s coming alive!
This season’s little fingers
are uncurling from the ground,
& smelling of Death.

Please don’t grab them!

In a few months,
after the deep freeze,
these little fingers
will turn green,
sprouting leaves.

But don’t eat these plants …
You might end up where the fingers are.
