Loneliness

Loneliness

written by: Abdulreza Alvari

Lonely and lonely I am, you are not home.
You are on a trip darling, too far away.
Changing the house for me as the land of gloom,
A place happiness has lost its role to play.

And me like a lonely bird,
Crawling sadly to a corner of a cage,
Have the feeling of a tired passerby sitting in a shade,
Or meaningless words entangled on a page.

I am standing near the house window,
Like a lonely tree, like a miserable shadow.
Thinking of this message for you to send,
Oh, my traveled love, when will my loneliness end?

My broken heart not at ease, nor at rest,
Is about to jump out my chest.
The heart beat rate has broken a record.
I’m afraid it might not be able to afford,
The rate just goes up and up and up.
Come back soon please, or it might stop.

Your trip is getting too long.
That’s what I can’t get along.
One can see me every day, standing there,
Beside a tree, on the road side, where,
I can sit on a big piece of rock, and stare the front.
And wait for hours, and count, and count,
Till I have the view of the very far spots,
And shout: “Oh my God, the bus I think, today at last comes.”
