Love, a poem by Don Flecknoe at Spillwords.com

Love

Love

written by: Don Flecknoe

He lies awake as thoughts race though his mind,
Doubts imagined, doubts of every kind.
The raft of reason rudderless and lost,
In fog the path ahead is undefined.

He dares to dream, of her and what might be
The storm abates at last tranquillity.
Untied from care, somewhere adrift in time,
Bathed in light a spirit floating free.

One small word, it sets his heart on fire,
Emotions soar, together ever higher,
They dance through mist to find their secret place,
The joy of love is all that they desire.
