Mundane Life of a Lonely Soul

Mundane Life of a Lonely Soul

There was a time when I believed,
In love, soul and a lifetime of fidelity,
A time when my heart was warmed
By the breath of my beloved,
A time when my soul was charmed
By his touch
But as seasons changed,
The green gave way to the withered browns,
The dreams we cherished, dissipated, smiles becoming frowns
Living together more for convenience than love…
But life goes on,
The soul reminisces the only true love ever,
The love in the womb,
Pure and eternal,
A reason to go on…
