My Guardian Angel

As I stand at the threshold of life
reflect back on all that has passed
days when like a nomad wandered all over
in search of shelter over my head
hunting for a morsel to quell the hunger in my belly
elements of trust, faith, belief
patience determination
helped me overcome the storms and cross the hurdles
at every phase new lesson I learnt
strong hands have supported me
pulled me out of harm’s way
when in despair lifted my spirits
my walking stick to support the faltering steps
a faceless figure and a nameless person
my guardian angel under whose guidance I have flourished
My name is Anupama Kadwad and I’m from India. I am a Statistics graduate working in the Telecommunication field. Writing helps me relieve my stress. Through poems I can communicate my innermost feelings with the outside world. I believe poems give wings to thoughts and help express our views. In my leisure time I like to travel, listen to music and write. My poem book ‘My World’ was published in January 2016.
