NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A gloomy, cloudy sky. The words of the haiku sit top centre of the image in black Comic Sans font, contained within a white cloud. Below this sits a blue, 2-story house, flanked on either side by a grove of pink trees with grey trunks growing out of verdant, green ground. A matching bush on either side of the house completes the picture. The strange look of the trees is brought home by the fact that one on either side has eyeballs. The pink treetops are, in fact, brains. The image is made a lot less shocking by being drawn in a cartoonish style, with thick, black lines, bright colours, and simplified details. The blue house warps slightly, making it a bit more humorous. The tree eyeballs stare in a dumbfounded way. The only thing that contrasts with this impression is the threatening sky, made of a rendered cloud effect as found in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
