NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
Again another work reflecting my commitment to pataphysics. However, there is a caveat that expresses my interest in the writings of Samuel Beckett and the art of Ad Reinhardt. I delivered a talk at Everson Museum in Syracuse where I discussed the similarities and departures between the works of Reinhardt and Beckett. In the talk, I stated Beckett was more honest about nothingness than Reinhardt because Beckett knew that the nothing was the something.
Grant Guy is a Winnipeg, Canada, theatremaker and poet. He has 6 books published, only 4 he will talk about: Open Fragments, Bus Stop Bus Stop (a collection of stories based on my experience of transcontinental bus travel), Blues For A Mustang (A collection of poems) and The Life And Lies Of Calamity Jane (a novella) do not reflect the previous work. He had many poems and short stories published online and as hard copy. He was the 2004 recipient of the Manitoba Arts Council’s Award of Distinction and the 2015 Winnipeg Arts Council’ Making A Difference Reward. His visual poetry has been included in group shows in New York, Dayton, France, Spain, Italy and Brazil.
