Nothing Found

Nothing Found

written by: Diana Nuhu

There are people, then there’s that one person.
Doesn’t come like a mighty force,
He comes in episodes of laughter,
And soon, he becomes a season.

There were premieres
Under a chill breeze in a dark hour,
With a young lady, reluctant for a meet up,
No idea of the friendship that moment was holding.

And slowly, it was unfolding
Comfort in another’s presence.
How words came from the lips of the one beside me,
They reached my ears as seedlings of joy,
And brought a smile to my lips.

Love and care don’t need a voice
When you feel it, undoubtedly.
When trust shares no reason,
When someone knows how best to put a wild smile
To your heart.
