Of Nobody’s Blood

Of Nobody’s Blood

written by: Katarzyna Koziorowska

Sadness that flows too fast.
Silence that costs
too many dreams.

I would like to kiss
your body tenderly,
but the tears are too shallow.

Unaccustomed to illusions,
I swing on this naive wave,
sinking into emptiness
that no one deserves.

The fluidity of thoughts
does not prevent us
from longing for what turned
to stone without a cry.

I sold love that had a chance
to bloom in a field
of nobody’s blood.
I don’t want to run out of hours
when I’m tormented
by the lack of smile.

I am timidly starting this day,
this era that does not depend
on pain.

My heart beats tentatively.
I’m looking for an excuse
to run away.
