OUR ADVENTURE

The stillness of the water,
Makes me know I’ll be safe,
Looking ahead now towards our voyage,
From the sea to my homely lake.
The sun is up, ready for the day,
Climb aboard me and release me from my stay,
Let us set sail together, alone in our adventure,
Going with the wind forever.
Night time is upon us, the lake is close,
Throughout our voyage we focused our approach,
It is clear to me that I love you more,
Time to set anchor before we hit the shore.

Aaron McMillan was born in Darwen, Lancashire in 1983. He recently moved to Inverness, Scotland. It is in the Highlands that he began to rekindle his love of writing, visiting, various beautiful and inspiring locations. Aaron believes that everything is poetry; that everything deserves to be written about.
