No warning signs
could I perceive
your face, a flash and
splash – I hit
I never surfaced
for I did drown
in waters so deep
I could not breathe
You swam into
my coursing blood
veins and arteries
and through my heart
Smitten and spellbound
straight from the start
oceans of time
I still love you
